THE STORY BEHIND US

Daisha M Edmundson, Esq. is the Founding Attorney at Guided by Grace Law Firm. Before opening her own family law firm, Daisha honed her litigation skills at a prominent Big Law firm in Washington, D.C., Where she maintained a broad-based litigation practice. Her experience included complex commercial litigation, white-collar crime, and antitrust cases.

Deeply committed to serving her community, Daisha made sure to dedicate significant time to pro bono work outside of her Big Law caseload. She gained invaluable experience in family law, criminal law, and immigration law and touched many lives along the way. It was through this work that she discovered her passion for family law, leading her to leave Big Law and pursue this area of law full-time.

Daisha graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2022, where she interned at the D.C. Superior Court under the Honorable Judge Ryan and at the Montgomery County Public Defender's Office. Before attending law school, Daisha earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Hampton University in 2019. She’s received multiple academic achievement awards and graduated fourth in her undergraduate class.

Daisha M Edmundson, Esq. has been led by the Grace of God throughout her career and life, and it’s by that same grace that she finds herself walking boldly in her purpose today. Known for her compassionate “bedside manner” to her clients and described by many as a “bulldog” in the courtroom, Daisha fiercely advocates for her clients while providing a calm and steady presence through life’s most challenging moments. Though she is young, she stands firm in the truth that God’s grace is sufficient. With passion, faith, and determination, she is committed to guiding her clients one case at a time.
